Back in April, my latest novel FAMILY SECRETS was given a publishing contract from California Times Publishing. Which of course, I am thrilled about. My book went through a cover change and an edit. Back to work.

Finally, school has started and I'm able to clear my head and get back to work on my latest book. HIDDEN SECRETS, book 2 of 'Secrets and Second Chances.'
I decided to go back through the novel and make everything first person, after writing it in third. My mind just felt that there was something missing, something wrong. After working my way to Chapter 15 of changing the POV, the story to me reads so much better. I can feel the main character moving along with the story.
I have also, over the summer been working on a Novella, "HELP ME," which was going to be called "CUT," but changed it as there is already a book called that about the same topic, which is about cutting and bullying.
So, there's quite a bit going on, but will share bits and pieces of Book 2 with you in the coming weeks.

Goodbye Hawaii

So, today is the last day at Aulani in Hawaii. We will be on a plane and flying out at 4pm. A little anxious to get home and see my pets and sleep in my own bed. Here's a beautiful morning picture of Hawaii. ENJOY!

Parasailing and Dole Plantation

This past Monday the 3rd, the girls went parasailing. Since their weight wasn't enough, one of the other guys that were on the boat with us had to go with them. They had a blast, and I will definitely try it next time we come to Hawaii.

On Tuesday the 4th, we drove to center of the island and visited the Dole plantation, where they grow pineapples. We took the train ride and also walked through the garden before walking through the store to take a look around.

Wednesday was a relax day, as well as today, which my husband and I will be getting a massage. It is the last day here, as we will be flying home tomorrow afternoon. I had a wonderful time here, and will definitely come back and do the island hop to see the other islands.

Kualoa Ranch and Snorkeling

A couple of days ago, we drove up to Kualoa Ranch and went horse back riding, the girls and I, while my husband went ATV riding. Kualoa Ranch is where 10 minutes of Jurassic Park was filmed, along with the TV show Lost.

Yesterday, July 31st. We all took a hike through the Rainforest.

Today August 1st, we all went on the Catamaran Experience, which was on a boat to spot Dolphins and for the girls to go Snorkling.

I'm so glad the girls are having a great time on our trip. Tomorrow we are relaxing at Aulani in a Cabana, and some sun, maybe even the lazy river. I still have to do the water slide. Still have time, we are here until the 7th. Aloha
