Today we spent the day at Pearl Harbor learning all about the tragic day that had taken over a thousand lives. We took a boat out to the Memorial for USS Arizona, and could see the sunken ship under water, where over a thousand men had no chance at surviving. The Japanese gave a surprise attack which took many Americans lives on December 7th, 1941.
This place is amazing and beautiful. I don't know how else to explain this resort. We are Disney members, but you don't have to be to stay here. Tomorrow is a lazy fun in the sun day as I'm planning on floating around on the lazy river and going down the slide several times. Here are some pictures from our room.
Twelve years later with no warning
and no reason, Jay commits suicide. Colton goes into denial and blames his
mother; Alexis buries herself in her work.
Seven months later, Alexis’s biggest
dream comes true. She’s going to be on the next space shuttle! Her victory is
short-lived when she finds out she has breast cancer. As her health declines,
Colton delves into the dangerous circumstances of his father’s death.
“Family Secrets” crept into Alexis’s
life when she wasn’t paying attention. Will she and her son ever find out the
truth? Or is it too late?
I'm off to Hawaii for a couple of weeks. Though, it's for pleasure, I will be working on my novella and Book 3 of "Secrets and Second Chances". I went through the draft of Book 2 while I have been home these last few weeks, and now setting it aside until I get back from my trip. Plan to have Book 2 of the series, in the hands of my editor in October.
I have two books I'll be reading on my trip as I lay in the sun by the ocean. Always Watching by Chevy Stevens and Bet you Life by Jane Casey.
I'll post some pictures of the beautiful surroundings of Hawaii.
Those of you who have just visited my blog for the first time. Family Secrets has received a publishing contract from California Times Publishing. Below is the first cover and the new cover for my latest novel.
I have FREE audiobook codes to giveaway for all of my novels. BROKEN PROMISES, NOT FORGOTTEN, and FAMILY SECRETS. If you are interested, please send me an email for the free code. Well, tomorrow we'll be driving back to Ohio and then home to Illinois. Today in Hershey, Pennsylvania, we spent the day at the Hershey Park where we road many roller coasters. There are only 9 in the park, and we road 6 of them. I'm not too big on the wooden coasters, so those we skipped. It was a hot smoldering day, until we decided to call it quits and the clouds came in and took the sun away. Looking forward to returning home after a long and a adventful vacation. I can hear my bed calling my name. I can't tell you how much I missed my bed, and there were some really hard and springing beds that I had to sleep on. My neck and back can't wait to visit my chiropracter Monday morning.
I would recommend everyone to visit the wonderful world of CHOCOLATE...
I want to say Thank you to all the people you have followed my blog durning my New England travels. It was a wonderful experience that I may never get a chance to take again. In three weeks, I'm off to Hawaii with my husband and daughter and her friend Kelly from Florida. That will be more of a relaxing vacation, as I did way too much walking in this one.
We spent two nights at The Cove at Yarmouth, in Massachusetts. We went to the beaches in Cape Cod for part of the day and then finished it playing putt putt by our resort. We left at six this morning and have so far driven through Massachusett, Rhode Island, and now Connecticut, making our way through New York and finally, Philideliphia, PA. We are spending one night and then heading to our last destination at Hershey Pennsylvania.
This was outside the restaurant where we had dinnewr last night. It was made with sand.
