First day in Massachusetts.

First stop Salem, Massachusetts.

Then we drove to see the U.S.S. Salem, which is where my father in-law had sailed on when he was in the Navy. They only give tours on Saturday and Sundays, and you can also spend the night on the ship for $150 a night. We weren't able to get close to the ship, so most of the pics have the fence showing.

Then we went and seen the Mayflower in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Which I didn't take any pics with my iPhone, only video taped. Tomorrow is a relaxing day at the beach, walking the seashore.

Last day in New Hampshire.

Spent 3 nights in Bar Harbor Maine. Did some sight seeing and lots of shopping in downtown Bar Harbor. Enjoyed a couple of games of putt putt, lost both games, but had fun. The weather was great for us. Sunday, June 28th, we are staying in New Hampshire, and it has rained all day, which was okay as we were just driving.
We stopped and saw The Castle in the Cloud, which is located in New Hampshire. Definitely worth seeing if you are in the area.

Welcome to Bangor, Maine!

We left New Hampshire and entered Maine this morning. We stopped at one of my most favorite author's house. Can you guess who?? I'm sure most of you have read his books some time in your life. I started reading Stephen King's books at the age of 12. It started with Christine, then Carrie, and so on. My all time favorite books of his, there's a few: MISERY, PET SEMETERY, GERALD'S GAME, and THE GREEN MILE, to name a few.
I took some pictures of the front of his house for all to see.

SUCH A COOL FENCE AROUND HIS PLACE. ALL BLINDS ARE CLOSED IN THE FRONT OF HIS HOUSE. NOT SURE I'D WANT TO BE THAT POPULAR THAT I CAN'T LET THE SUNSHINE IN MY HOUSE. BEAUTIFUL HOME, THOUGH!

I WAS HOPING TO SEE A PET SEMETERY IN HIS YARD. I'M NOT SURE WHERE I HEARD THAT FROM, BUT I DIDN'T SEE ANYTHING. THERE IS A HUGE WHITE HOUSE NEXT DOOR TO HIS THAT HIS SON LIVES IN. WE ACTUALLY HAD JUST MISSED HIM LEAVING MINUTES BEFORE ARRIVING.
OFF TO THE COAST TOMORROW, AND THEN BAR HARBOR FOR THREE DAYS.

Eastern Slope Inn, Conway, New Hampshire

We arrived yesterday and are staying at the Eastern Slope Inn, Conway, New Hampshire. We drove by Santa's Village, but with all the rain we were having, we didn't fill lik ewalking around in it, so I just took a pic of the sign. Then we went to Glen Ellis Falls, which was awesome. It was a 64 foot waterfall, just gorgeous.
Today we went and seen Diana's Baths, which was huge, and we got to walk on all the rocks because they weren't covered in water. We stopped at took a picuture of a huge waterfall in Crawford Notch State Park. Then we all took the hour and a quarter walk at the Franconia Notch State Park to see the Flume Gorge. There's too many picutures to show on that one, but I'll post a couple. Tomorrow we are taking a five hour scenic train ride with Conway Scenic Railroad. That will end our stay in New Hampshire, then off to Maine.

Smuggler's Notch in Stowe, Vermont

The past two days we've stayed in Stowe, Vermont. My husband and I bought into the time shares with Disney. So, most of the resorts we are staying at are part of RCI of the Disney timeshare. Yesterday, we went to Green Mountain Coffee, and Ben and Jerry's where we got to see the factory and sample some ice cream. Yum! Yum! We also seen some gorgeous waterfalls.
Today, June 20th, we went on a river boat cruise in Burlington, Vermont. After the cruise there wasn't much to do but relax and play a few games of putt putt at the resort.

Killington Vermont

June 18th, 2015 Day-4 New England Vacation

Yesterday, we spent most of the day driving from New York to Vermont, stopping at different places like Vermont Country Store, where we browsed the store for souvenirs. Then we headed to the Killington Grand Resort where we are staying until tomorrow before heading to Smuggler's Notch in northern Vermont. So, before I get ahead of myself, today we went and seen some more waterfalls, which I will post below.
I've spent a couple days while my dad was driving, working on  my novella, "CUT". It's coming along quite well. I have also been working on book 3 of the 'Secrets and Second Chances', series. I had decided to leave Book 2 at home so I could get time away from it. When I return home July 5th, I will spend two weeks going back through Book 2 of the series, before heading off to Hawaii for two weeks. Busy summer this year. By the time we get back from there, my daughter will be starting ninth  grade the following week. Ugh, high school...

Our final stop before heading back to the resort for the night; we stopped at the Waybury Inn. The front of the Inn was used for the show NEWHART. I have a couple photos below. We stayed and had lunch as well.

Last Night in New York!

Thank God the weather once again was good for us. The rain came through last night; all we had were some sprinkles here and there. We spent the day in Ithaca, New York seeing more waterfalls, though most of the trails were closed due to all the rain, so we went and saw what we could. First stop was the ButterMilk Falls:

The next stop was Robert H. Treman State Park
All trails were closed, but got to see the two that were in small walking distance. There was a lot of debris and there were dump trucks coming in and out cleaning up all the trees and rocks:

Taughannock Falls:

The last one was Fall Creek Gorge:

Tomorrow we are off to Vermont for a few days.
