When Death Enters a Family

WHEN DEATH ENTERS A FAMILY

All too often, children and teens lose someone they love. They feel lost, angry and hopeless, and they do not understand what is happening to them and what they will do, following the loss. This book tells the true story of a 15 year-old girl when she lost one of the most important persons in her life, her father. It gives a clear description of her emotions and feelings and chronicles the activities from the point when the news was first told to her through a period following the funeral. This book comes with an alphabet book as a companion which explains some of the terms used in the story. #amcbuzz http://www.amazon.com/When-Death-Enters-Family-ebook/dp/B00749PBCW

My Review

Desert Rice

I downloaded this book for free and promised to leave a review. I thought the book was well written  and the characters were well thought through. I had a very hard putting this book down. Very good read.
The story was told in first person by a twelve year-old girl named Samantha. Something terrible happened and her and her brother are forced to run away. I won't ruin the ending because that is when you find out what had happened, but the nightmares she has her parts of her trying to remember. The story is compelling and I felt I was there with her. I'm not sure if I would recommend this book to any one younger then 18 years-old, because of what happened to Samantha.

I do give this book 5 stars

"Not Forgotten" review

I did really like this story! It was a very fast read. I started it last night and had a hard time putting it down. There were so many things that made me want to keep turning pages to see what was going to happen or to see what had already happened in the past. There were things that were a bit unbelievable and somewhat like a Lifetime Movie Network movie but it was a definite page turner to see what the whole story was. I did really like the book and would probably read another by this author. There was no plodding along in this book! My copy was an ARC and there were some mistakes that I hope have been fixed. But it was a very good read!

Cover changing for latest novel

I will be changing the cover of my latest novel "Not Forgotten". I would like everyones thought on the cover. I don't know about other people, but I always look at the cover first and if it intrigues me then I need the summary on the back of book or inside flap. If it doesn't jump out at me, I don't even look twice. They say a good cover is what helps sell a book.
So let me know what you're thinking.

REVIEW-

This book was definitely a page-turner. I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. It kept my interest, I wanted to know what would happen in the end. I read the author's first book "BROKEN PROMISES" and it was another good book. The more you read the more questions you have and you keep reading to find the answers Will Deanna find her daughter alive? Will she let herself love again? So many questions. Turn those pages as fast as you can to find your answers. I feel the book had a good plot and the characters were true to life. It will put you on the edge of your seat. I would recommend this book to anyone that loves mystery, a little romance with wanting answers to your questions.

I would give this book 4 STARS.

I enjoyed this book a great deal. It was very riveting and hard to put down; a real page-turner. It kept you guessing until the very end. I'm a huge fan of Donna, I have loved her children's book series, The Tayla books, and have read them all to my children. I was extremely excited when I heard she came out with her first novel. REVIEW:

I just finished one of the page turner's that I love to read. BROKEN PROMISES is a very enjoyable read. I didn't want to put the book down. The author writes of characters that are very true to life.

Clare, the main character is married to an alcoholic and abuser. They have one daughter and are financially strapped. They file for bankruptcy and decide to leave Ohio and go to Florida. Her husband has been in AA and rehab many times but her never fails to disappoint her. He can't stay sober for long. Claire discovers that you can't run away from your problems.. She has a lot to deal with, his drinking, infidelity, suicide attempts and his abuse. Claire finally leaves Jim and relocates after starting a business of her own. A real change of pace when two women are found murdered nearby and Claire finds a notebook with information about their murders. She wonders if Jim is more violent than she thought.. She loves her husband but can't keep tolerating the situation. The ending was quite a surprise and I never saw it coming. I believe the author was trying to convey a strong message about abuse. I applaud her for that. There is so much abuse these days. I would recommend this book to anyone. It's a slow paced read but very real life. Quote From Back Of Book: A SUSPENSE THAT WILL KEEP YOU GUESSING

I would give this book 4 STARS.

Broken Promises

This 363 page book is about a marriage with an Abusive Alcoholic. Seventy-five percent of the book is true. A part of my life I had to write. It was hard to sit and write this book, emotions flooding back in. Many questions I ask myself is why I stayed as long as I did. Whether right or wrong, for my daughter.
