What do you do when you come across a book you really just don't like? You don't want to leave a bad review, but you also don't want to lie about liking the book. Is it best to just give a one star and leave no reason why? I guess there just comes a time when you must turn your head the other way. Some websites give you the option on whether you want to leave a review. I know that reviews help with the product/book, but to give a bad review may or may not hurt the author just the same. I would say it would be up to the person who had trudge through a bad book, or even a great book, to whether they want to leave a review. I believe it should be up to the reader to do what they feel is right.

I have received another 5 star review for my latest book "Family Secrets", 'Secrets and Second Chances', Book 1. Though, I feel I should let people know that this series will not continue with the story of the first book, but will start a new journey with a character mentioned in the book before it. Which if my readers are interested, will be Carla Michaels.  If you recall part of her story, she has a baby at 6 months into her pregnancy. There will be questions needing answered and many many secrets to be revealed when you reach the end of the book. The title of Book 2 of the series is called "HIDDEN SECRETS", 'Secrets and Second Chances', Book 2.

A book worth Reading!

So a couple of weeks ago, my grandma who lives in Florida, sent me the book "One Tuesday Morning", by Karen Kingsbury.
Oh, my God it is such a great book! I was already intrigued by the story when I read that it was about the World Trade Center in New York.
Though, I'm not a big romance reader, it to me is a wonderful love story. I'm only half way through the book, but can't wait to see how it all ends. I think I'll be sad though, because of the wonderful way the characters are developed, they will stay with me for a long time! That's one reason why it's a great novel to read. Here is the link below if you're interested in checking out the book on Amazon. I think you'll love the book as much as I have!

A devoted fireman and a driven businessman, strangers with the same face. Only one will leave the Twin Tower alive, but will he ever find his way home?

Family Secrets, received a Publishing Deal!

I'm happy to announce that Family Secrets, 'Secrets and Second Chances, Book 1', just received a Publishing contract with California Times Publishing!

They are working on a new cover for my novel, which is sort sad, but I guess it's what they need to do.  To be honest, I'm learning as I go. If they can sell the book for me, then it's all worth the change. Only good can come out of this. If you want to see the Book Trailer Video, please head over to  my author website and click on Book Video's.

Book 2 of "Secrets and Second Chances"

I'm coming to a close on the first draft of my novel, Book 2 in the series. The main character, Carla Michaels will go on a road of twist and turns to find out the truth about her husband who she thought she knew well. Secrets come out of the wood work, but there is one secret that will keep you wondering until the very end. Of course, there is always a twist at the end.
Once I get through a couple of readings and fixing and more fixing. I will have a book trailer video made to give you a glimpse of what the book entails. I would love to tell you more, but I don't want to give too much away!

While you're waiting for Book 2 in the series, indulge in Book 1, "Family Secrets", to get  an idea of what Carla's story will be about.
Remember this book series doesn't continue the story of the book before, but gives you a glimpse of who the next book will be about and the plot.
