Resting in New York!

Our journey started at 7:30 this morning when we hit the road, bound for New York. Our first stop besides the rest stop, was Letchworth State Park. Below are several photos of the raging waterfalls because of all the rain we've been having the past few days. I'm thankful the weather was kind to us, though I think tomorrow will be a different story as the storms head our way. There was one park we stopped at that was closed due to all the rain and they weren't allowing anyone on the trail. Tomorrow we our off to Ithaca, New York, to see more waterfalls, but all depending on what the weather does. I hope you enjoy the pics that are attached. Going to sit back and watch the Blackhawks win the Stanley Cup : )

New England States Vacation 2015!

Starting Monday June 15th, my dad, mom, daughter, and I are taking a 3 week vacation visiting most of the New England states. I'm going to post and talk about the states we stop in. I'm even going to upload pictures to show you what we are 

seeing on are trip. 

I'm most excited about going to Maine and seeing where Stephen King lives. He's been my favorite author since I was 13 years old that's thirty years now. I knew right then that one day I would be a writer. 

I'm happy to have three novels written, and a fourth one on the way, along with a novella that I have been working on. I will be bringing my work along with me to pass the driving time, plus I don't want to stop writing for very long. A little a day; minutes, hours, 

is good to write.

Karen Kingsbury Books

I have come to love Karen Kingsbury books, thanks to my Grandma. In my last post, I wrote that my Grandma had sent me the book to read, which I did. I enjoyed it so much so that I went and bought the second book in the series, BEYOND TUESDAY MORNING. 
OMG, I don't even know where to start! The story was wonderful, and I didn't want it to end. The characters were well developed and made me believe they were real from the start. I honestly don't want their story to end. It's like reading about real people, my heart breaks that I can't continue on reading about them.  All said, this is a MUST READ book/books!

DISLIKE!

What do you do when you come across a book you really just don't like? You don't want to leave a bad review, but you also don't want to lie about liking the book. Is it best to just give a one star and leave no reason why? I guess there just comes a time when you must turn your head the other way. Some websites give you the option on whether you want to leave a review. I know that reviews help with the product/book, but to give a bad review may or may not hurt the author just the same. I would say it would be up to the person who had trudge through a bad book, or even a great book, to whether they want to leave a review. I believe it should be up to the reader to do what they feel is right.

I have received another 5 star review for my latest book "Family Secrets", 'Secrets and Second Chances', Book 1. Though, I feel I should let people know that this series will not continue with the story of the first book, but will start a new journey with a character mentioned in the book before it. Which if my readers are interested, will be Carla Michaels.  If you recall part of her story, she has a baby at 6 months into her pregnancy. There will be questions needing answered and many many secrets to be revealed when you reach the end of the book. The title of Book 2 of the series is called "HIDDEN SECRETS", 'Secrets and Second Chances', Book 2.
