This was a great story by an author I haven't read before.
You meet Ben and Kaitlyn and immediately know that something isn't right in their marriage.
These two lives interact with several others, all of whom are involved in some way in a massive accident on the Ohio Turnpike.
The story weaves a web of how each of these people is affected by Ben's attitude.
I enjoyed this author and look forward to reading another story.

There are several stories here and although initially, I thought it was going to be too much, it somehow blended in well.

We have Adanya an officer of the law. Her story is separate. We have Kaitlyn whose story is quite separate. Kaitlyn is married and on the surface, everything seems fine. Her husband is a twisted abusive who has no qualms about hitting her at every turn, even in the past to force a miscarriage.

Adanya has a heavy secret. When she was a teenager she had a baby, she gave the baby away for adoption, a decision tinged with deep regret and sadness.

Kaitlyn had a great love in Adam who went to Afghanistan and then she got involved with her husband to her deep regret. Now that she has conceived again, she is determined to run away, create a new identity and bring up this baby alone. All that changes when a grievous accident affects the lives of all of the above.

In twists and turns, some plausible, some slightly not we are taken into the next step of both Adanya and Kaitlyn's lives - thank goodness for the better and happier.

One horrific accident will change the lives of five people in this epic story. Kaitlyn and Adam were in love back in college and planned to have a life together. Ben, on the other hand, wanted Kaitlyn for himself and plotted to break them apart. It didn't take much since Adam was on his way to Afghanistan to fight in the war. Through dear John letters he wrote on behalf of the other he flawlessly broke them apart and married Kaitlyn and her nightmare began. Moore is one of the officers that was called to the scene and Leah was a nurse working at the hospital. Moore found a man trapped under one of the cars and with the help of firefighters got him to safety. She found a wallet and thinking that it belonged to the man pulled from the wreckage, called Kaitlyn informing her of the car pile up on the expressway and to come to Ohio. When Leah makes a mistake with one of the patients from the crash, lives will be changed and loved ones restored. This is an amazing story that will have you on one emotional rollercoaster as you peel back the layers of the story as it unfolds before you.

NEW NOVEL

Hello Everyone,

I've been working on my next novel titled THE ACCIDENT so far around 80,000 words. Finished the 1st draft and placed it aside for awhile. They say that you should start a new project and let your work sit so I'm finishing up a writing project I started last year. It's a young adult novel titled THE DEAD GIRL UNDER THE BLEACHERS. Catchy isn't it? 

People ask me how I come up with my stories and this particular story came to me when I was driving and was passing a football field and I saw the bleachers. Instantly, the images of the story came to me with a body lying under them in the pouring rain. I won't tell you any more than that.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

I'm excited to be on the road this afternoon. I will be driving to Milwaukee, Wisconsin to see Stephen King and Owen King this evening @ 8pm. I'm not shocked to hear that all tickets are sold out for this event held at Riverside Theater. I was lucky to buy mine the day they came out. YAY! Stephen King was the one who indulged me into reading when I was in my early teens and I said to myself that one day I will write books. Here I am all these years later with seven children's books, five novels, and two novellas published. If I'm lucky enough to snap some pictures of them I will post them on my site. “Twisted Secrets” is a highly engaging story I could not put down. I thoroughly enjoyed the author’s writing style–she writes with a zeal that jumps off the pages. I could actually feel everything that was happening in the story; descriptions of the settings felt authentic, and I was easily immersed into the scenes in the small town. Solid, compelling drama draws the reader directly into the plot and the intense action. The story moves at just the right pace, and true to its’ title, is full of plot twists and secrets I never saw coming. Seriously, just when you think you have it figured out the author drops a bombshell with a new twist!  

The characters are genuine and convincing. As a mother I can’t conceive of anything worse than child abduction. The fear, guilt, anguish, self-doubt; everything experienced by Lily’s mother and grandmother is portrayed with authentic, tormenting reality. Can you imagine that tightening in your chest, the unrest deep down in your belly? Totally haunting! 
Overall I highly recommend “Twisted Secrets” by Donna M. Zadunajsky. The third volume in a series, it stands solid as an independent story, and is such a remarkable read. Full of drama, head games, romance, betrayal and secrets, this book has a bit of something for everyone.

The Secrets and Second Chances Series by Donna Zadunajsky is a great collection of mystery, murder, romance, and secrets. What more could you want? They don't have to be necessarily read in order because each is a complete plot onto itself. The series is about friends and lives that touch each other over time and distance, showing the bonds we develop that last a lifetime.

"Twisted Secrets", Zadunajsky's latest in the series, is my absolute favorite! This novel is also a psychological thriller! I don't want to give away any spoilers, especially not with this book where there are so many twists and turns you never see coming and keep you guessing long past the last page is turned.

This book will haunt you for many days, months, and years. You'll be inclined to read it again and again to follow the Twisted Secrets that plague a seemingly "normal" family in a quiet small town. And that is the true measure of a great work of fiction ... staying power. Characters you can't forget; secrets that unfold and then twist into a whole new secret ... each more thrilling and dangerous than the last.

Don't ever tear out the last short chapter ... and don't be tempted to read it too soon ... save the best, most thought-provoking Twisted Secret for the last gasping moment of this luscious paradox of events that definitely are not what they appear to be at first glance. This book had me hooked on page 11 with one sentence, Because after today the cat would come out to play... That single sentence to others may have seemed so simple yet to me it gripped me and pulled me into the story even more. I found it an enjoyable read and a good mystery that kept me guessing. Can't wait to see what comes next from Donna M. Zadunajsky.

Holidays are approaching!

I can't believe how fast the year has gone and we're only a month away from Christmas. Black Friday is creeping up on us and it's a day where I stay away from the stores. I know, I know. That's when I should go shopping, but I hate crowds. I hate standing in line to checkout for more than 10 minutes. 

So, I'm one of those shoppers that love to shop all year long for presents. In fact, I only have one person left to shop for and that's my daughter, who technically, doesn't need anything, but I can't let her wake up and have no presents under the tree. It's hard to buy for a 15-year-old.
